What is Speculative Execution?

This enables a malicious program to speculatively execute data that it shouldn’t have, which is then reverted. It goes against the security assumptions, defeating numerous software security mechanisms and operating system process separation, static analysis, containerization, just-in-time (JIT) compilation, and countermeasures to cache timing/side-channel attacks.
